It was looking a bit bad after Chelsea were 3-0 up after 22 minutes. We only had up to 4-0. Chelsea looked like they were going to run away with the game. Lucky for us they stopped at 4-0. Even more lucky was that I got the dutching wrong and the 4-0 result was actually paid out at 2.17.

That means we are £167 up this month.

I was just checking my account today as am going to have a cheeky go on their blackjack table. The crazy Irish bookmaker paid out on a bet I had last month.

I had a cheeky £20 that Gordon Brown would be gone between June and August. After a few days it looked really likely but then it suddenly all died down. I had written it off. So I check my account today and boom, there’s £45 in there. Looks like they did one of their publicity stunts and it’s backfired on them.

A new month. Should be a short one as there isn’t much to bet on now the Premiership has finished.

First bet of the month is England to beat Kazakhstan to nil. Price is 1.73 at Bluesqaure. Its about 1.5 everywhere else.

England to win is only 1.17 which is like printing money but it seems like everytime we try print money, we end up losing. 1.73 is a decent price.

Updated the total for the time this blog has been up. -£1213. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

End of Month Update

So Liverpool beat Madrid. What a bunch of cocks. Spanish football must be in a sorry state if Liverpool can go to the Bernabeu and win. £100 lost. Bank down to -£117.

Saturday we had a safe double of Everton and Chelsea. Price was 2.04. £100 staked. Both bets come in but needed a 90th minute goal from Lampard for the Chelsea win. Bank ended up at -£13. Small loss for the month.

Sunday we had Man U to win in 90 minutes. On paper this was a cert but it took penalties for them to win it. £100 loss. Bank for March stands at -£100.

End of Month Update

Champions League

We broke our losing streak yesterday. Had Inter/ Man U draw at HT. Price was evens and £100 staked. Game ended 0-0 so obviously it was a draw at half time. Bank up to -£17.

At the weekend the scousers let us down. Tonight we are betting again Liverpool. Real Madrid have been going strong and Liverpool have fallen from grace. Only danger is that when Liverpool won the Champions League, they played shocking too in the league but turned up the style in Europe. £100 staked at 2.1. Come on Madrid!

On a good run at the moment. Man U win 4-1. Handicap cleared easily. Next day we had the same bet but with Arsenal. Price was 1.95. They win 4-0. Bank up to +£283.

This weekend pickings are slim in the Premiership. We are going for a double of Arsenal/ Leeds. Price is 2.07 at Boylesport. £100 staked. Price was 2.10 at Ladbrokes but I have barred myself from them so couldn’t get the best price.

Swansea and Sheffield United do the business. Bank up to +£242. Was a bit worried when Sheff Utd went behind but they win 4-1.

This week, we are sticking with the winning formula of betting on whatever Pod says. Midweek, he said, lets have Chelsea on the handicap. I laughed and said no. Chelsea come out 4-1 winners beating the handicap. He just seems to be on a roll. So this week is a Spurs/ Arsenal double. Price is 2.88. £100 staked.

Not over the moon about this bet. Spurs are playing crap and Arsenal aren’t playing that well. Personally I think the bet of the week is Blackburn to beat Newcastle at 2.1.

Still nothing from the syndicate. There still is nothing I fancy betting on. I did fancy Man U but not enough to be on them. Pompy, Blackburn, Man City and Wigan were considered on the handicap but ultimately rejected.

Pod’s had a single bet on Pompy to beat Boro. £70 at 2.1. Maybe next week.

I was too slow to get any money on tonights eviction at a decent price. It looks a dead cert that Jennifer will be going but I am not sure I fancy betting at 1.03 on Betfair, ok £2k on and I could be £60 up (less Betfair’s commission).

Oh well it’ll teach me for being slow to get the money on at the better odds.
