Weekend Bets

Sunday, February 10th, 2008

Yesterday we had Spuds and Everton to win on the Asian Handicap -1.  Spuds beat Derby 3-0, so that was a winner.  Everton beat Reading 1-0 so that was a push.  Odds on Spud was evens so £100 up.

Bank now at +£50.

Todays bet will be Chelsea to beat Liverpool.  Odds currently 2.03 on the Asian Handicap.  Pod’s putting on the bets this month.  £100 will be staked at whatever the final odds are when Pod gets his arse in to gear.  I called him up Monday about having Villa to beat Newcastle but he didn’t stick it on and by Saturday I had gone off the idea.  Villa win 4-1 but we win nothing.

Another loser

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

First bet of the month was England to beat Switzerland on the Asian Handicap.  England win 2-1 but lose half due to the handicap being -1.25.  Guess we were a little greedy.  The minus 1 handicap was 1.7 whereas the 1.25 handicap was 1.98.  Should have known, best price at Ladbrokes.

£100 staked so bank down to -£50.

Derren Brown and weekend betting.

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

I watched Derren Brown “The System” yesterday.  You can catch up on it on Chanel 4 on demand He has this system to predict the winner of 5 horse races in a row.  Its very clever and well worth a watch.  I was hoping for fool proof betting system at the end of the day its just trick.  He does explain the trick at the end and I can’t believe the woman didn’t cry.  She has 4K on a horse and he tells her the trick.  I’d be sick.

Anyway, no bets yesterday.  Premiership is tricky.  Pretty glad as many draws and winners weren’t at decent prices so we would have end up down.  No bets today either.  I should images that opposing Newcastle and Fulham will be profitable but not enough faith to stick any money on it.
