International Qualifier bets

Saturday, September 8th, 2007

We got lucky last week.  Both Sheffield Teams let us down.  Newcastle left it late (87th) to beat Wigan and Man U were also unconvincing against Sunderland.  Well, the treble came in.  Profit was £20.  However we had a horse which didn’t win, so £25 loss which makes our current bank -£5.

Todays bet is a banker double.  Holland should beat Bulgaria and Portugal should beat Poland.  Odds for double just over evens, £100 staked.

A new month

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

Last month ended up being pretty good. We only lost 1 bet and that was Barcelona. Brian won Big Brother which was a surpise. He was trading at 6.00 on Betfair. The market got it wrong. So the profit from that offset the loss on Barcelona. Last month’s profit therefore £570.

Todays bets are Sheffield United to beat Scunthorpe, -0.25 on the Asian. Price 2.05, £100 staked. Newcastle, Liverpool, Man U treble, 2.7, £100.

Sheff Wednesday to beat Bristol on the Asian -0.25 at evens, £50 staked. Smaller stake due to big price movements, which scare me. Also we have a Wednesday friend who says Bristol will win. Usually Wednesday fans are deluded so when one says we’ll lose its a good sign they will do. I just think Bristol will be knackered after playing a tough game against Man City midweek.

Total Liability today £250.
