Saturdays result and early champions league pick

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Arsenal win 1-0, Pompey win 7-4 has got to be a premiership record.  Sheffield United lose 2-1 though.  I was surer of overs rather than home win on that.  If we’d have gone with me rather than Pod then we’d be quids in.  As it happens, we made £13.  Bank now at +£167.

Early value pick Valencia to beat Chelsea on Wednesday.  Price is 2.62.  £100 staked.  Chelsea haven’t scored for a while and they haven’t got a sparkling record away in the CL.

This weekend’s sure bets

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Well, hopefull anyway.  The coupon isn’t too bad this week.  Quite a few bets that I fancy.  We’ve whittled it down to these 3 though.

Arsenal to beat West Ham.  Arsenal are on top form.  West Ham were their bogie team last year but that doesn’t phase me.  Price 1.83

Portsmouth to beat Reading.  Pompey have had a tough start to the season having played all the big 4.  Reading are suffering that second season syndrome.  Price 1.8

Sheffield United to beat Southampton.  Blades produce their best at home whereas Southampton are really struggling this season.  Price 2.0.

£100 on each and then £50 on the treble.  Treble pays 6.4 (can’t get best price at the same bookie so odds are slightly less).

I fancy the big 4 all to win.  Got 5/1 on them at betdirect but just saw stanjames having a special at 6/1.  Never mind.  Had £20 on it.  The £100 profit will go nicely towards my X-Box.
