Reality TV betting

Sunday, June 17th, 2007

Big Brother bet came in.  I thought it was a write off because of the prices on Betfair.  The market rarely gets things wrong and when there’s nothing on the ‘lay side’ then its usually a sign that its going to lose.

Tonight’s bet was Paul Potts to win, Britain has talent.  We got on pretty late so we got 1.66, £55 staked.  I saw his semi final performance and he was pretty good. That bet won.  +£34 and £47.50 for the Big Brother, together the £10 left from last bet means the bank is now +£91.50.

Update and Big Brother betting

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

We had a bet on the under 21 qualifiers last week.  Pod got a hot tip about Italy beating Serbia.  Given neither of us knew anything about the teams it was a stupid bet.  £100 staked at  1.87 on the Asian Handicap.    Not sure of  the full time result but it wasn’t a winner.  1-0 to Serbia I think (that was the last score update I heard).   So bank down to +£10.

Our current bet is the eviction percentage in this week’s big brother to be greater that 75%.  I don’t know much about it but apparently 1 of the people who is up for eviction is really annoying.  There was £50 available to match on Betfair and we took it.

International Bet

Last month saw another profit.  That’s what we like to see.

Today bet was England win 2-0 or 3-0, £20 on each at 11/2 and 13/2 respectively.  It would have been £25 each but betfred knocked us back.  I was going to go 1-0 or 2-0 but Pod reckoned 2-0 or 3-0.  As Pod can’t seem to lose at the moment we went with his suggestion.   Good job too and thank you John Terry for the goal line clearance in the 90th.

Profit from  game, £110.
